Student Visa type "D" Requirements

Non-EU citizens wishing to join the Aerofix - TU-Sofia  Dual Diploma Programme must apply for a student visa. The visa application is to be submitted to the Bulgarian Embassy or Consulate of your country of residence. The student visa is generally valid for the duration of the educational program, but it may be extended annually if the original conditions are still met.

You must provide the following documentation:

  • Proof of Admission: A letter of acceptance to any Dual Diploma from Aerofix and TU-Sofia as well as the eligibility certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria that Aerofix and TU-Sofia will provide you.

  • Academic Qualifications: Evidence of prior academic achievements.

  • Accommodation Arrangements: Proof of  Aerofix Aviation Academy organized accommodation.

  • Health Insurance: Coverage that meets the requirements of the host country.

  • Financial Means: Evidence that the applicant can cover all living expenses, tuition fees, and the cost of returning to their home country.

Additional Required Documents:

  • Two signed and fully completed application forms.

  • A copy of the biometric data page from the passport.

  • Previous passports (if applicable).

  • A valid passport (must be current for the duration of the visa).

  • Two recent passport-style photographs.

These documents should be submitted during the visa interview at the Bulgarian Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

Processing Time:

Most student Schengen visa applications are processed within 15 calendar days, though some may take longer depending on the specific case. To ensure sufficient time for processing, it is recommended to schedule the visa interview at least 4 weeks in advance of your departure date.

We’ll support your permanent resettlement in the European Union, ensuring you have everything needed to embark on a successful aviation career.
